Founded in January 2004, From the Heart Rescue (FTH) is dedicated to caring for hurt and frightened victims of accident, disease, cruelty and neglect, by providing the life-saving surgeries, medications and special care that other organizations are unable or unwilling to give.

FTH is one of the only organizations unconditionally accepting seriously injured, ill and abused animals (space permitting). 

Upon arrival, all animals are given a complete health check-up, including heartworm-erlichia-lyme disease tests .  Animals found to be ill or injured upon intake, or which become ill while in our care, are treated, not euthanized.  Utilizing a network of veterinarians, FTH strives to provide the best medical care possible. 

With unbounded love and an intense dedication to those unwanted by others, FTH works hard to give chances to dogs which other rescues and humane societies do not.  Dogs are given individual attention in a loving foster home while recovering physically or emotionally from their previous lives.  While we may not place hundreds or thousands of animals a year, each one of the animals with which From The Heart works is ensured of a loving, thoroughly screened forever home, where they will get the second chance they deserve.
